Wedmore Village Farm Community Garden

Converted from a patch of grassy-scrub in Spring 2024, our community garden at Wedmore Village Farm is our flagship project and has enabled us to supply over 15,000 portions of fresh & ecologically grown vegetables and fruit to food banks and food hubs.

We grow all our food following agroecological principles; minimising soil disturbance, maximising biodiversity, and avoiding any use of artificial chemicals or fertilisers – all with the mission of helping those in the community who need it most.

Currently, we work with three food banks and three social pantries across Cheddar, Wells, Highbridge, Glastonbury, and Shepton Mallet. Food banks and social pantries help to support individuals and families struggling with food insecurity, who can’t afford to buy food.

Site address: Wedmore Village Farm, Plud St, Wedmore BS28 4BH.

We have volunteer days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings to help with harvesting & packing produce, as well as tending to the garden’s needs. Contact vegbox@wedmorevillagefarm.co.uk to find out more.
